Papers from interest individuals are solicited in one of the eight topical areas:

• Business and community hazard reduction approaches
• Unique characteristics of recent disasters
• Disaster reduction education and exercise for businesses
• Emergency management of business and government organizations
• Damage estimation and insurance
• Regional cooperation for disaster reduction
• Economic Impact of the New York Sept. 11 Attack

Abstracts of up to 500 words in English or 500-800 letters in Japanese with a suggested topic area must be submitted via our web site, no later than August 31, 2002 (tentative).

Potential authors will be notified of acceptance/rejection of their abstracts by August 31, 2002.
