The School of Applied Sciences, Northumbria University and the Disaster Prevention Research Institute (DPRI), Kyoto University signed an MoU in 2007. This programme is based on the relationship between these universities. In addition, this programme has many related organisations e.g. Newcastle City Council, London Borough of Hounslow, City of Kyoto, Kyoto City Fire Department, Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service and Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service. We are collaborating with other organisations at an international level.
