Welcome to the ‘Disaster Education in the UK’ site. The series brings together emergency management specialists, the school education sector, and academics to explore how knowledge, innovation and education can help build a culture of safety and resilience in the UK. Whilst the series described here is focussed on the situation in the UK education system, much of the material will have resonance with other parts of the world. The Disaster and Development Centre is pleased to lead the series, and along with its partners, will aim to link this work to its activities internationally, for the benefit of building disaster education in the UK and elsewhere.
