"Public Warning" in the world

Objectives

ISO TC223 WG3 is now planning to have an International Workshop on "Public Warning". We plan to survey and summarize the concrete expressions of emergency public warnings actually used in each country, such as sirens, alarms, signs, warning texts, and warning colors etc. Results of the survey will be organized and presented at the workshop as the basis for a new international standard on "Public Warning" in the future.

We would therefore like to ask you to collect the concrete expressions of emergency public warnings actually used in your country, such as sirens, alarms, signs, warning texts, and warning colors etc. to alert and notify the general public and response organizations in your country so that you will be able to fill out the attached survey form. Emergency refers to natural disasters, unintentional human-made disasters (e.g. nuclear accident), and intentional human-made disasters (e.g. terorrism).
